Adrian Motta joins Detroit Metro FC as Sporting Director
BRIGHTON, MICHIGAN (January 20, 2025) - Detroit Metro FC is happy to announce the addition of Adrian Motta to the team as the club's first Sporting Director. He is a leader whose career as both a player and coach embodies dedication, talent, and an unrelenting passion for the beautiful game.
Adrian’s playing journey took him to elite programs like Schoolcraft College and Madonna University, as well as competing internationally with Portuguese clubs G.D. Joane, Oliveira do Hospital, and Vitória de Sernache, where he honed his skills and tactical understanding of the game. Back home, Adrian represented AFC Ann Arbor, solidifying his reputation as a tenacious and versatile player.
As a coach, Adrian has been a cornerstone in Michigan’s soccer development, lending his expertise to Michigan ODP, Michigan Jaguars, Michigan Rush, Legacy Legends F.C., and AFC Ann Arbor Women’s. His ability to nurture talent, inspire teams, and cultivate a winning culture has made a lasting impact across every level of the game.

Detroit Metro FC kicks off its inaugural season in the UPSL this spring of 2025 at the Legacy Center Sports Complex in Brighton, Michigan.
