At Detroit Metro FC, our mission is to provide soccer enthusiasts with high-quality gear and equipment at an affordable price. We believe that everyone should have access to the best soccer gear, regardless of their skill level or budget.
Detroit Metro FC is a Detroit based soccer club and development platform built to operate like a professional organization while deliberately preserving amateur and college pathways.
We exist to challenge a default assumption in U.S. soccer.
In the United States, elite development is most often funded through a quiet subsidy model.
Average families pay high fees.
Those fees subsidize a small number of elite players.
The economics are rarely transparent.
This structure has become so common that it is treated as unavoidable.
We disagree.
Detroit Metro FC combines:
Professional training standards
Serious competition
Clean, compliant NIL education and opportunities
Academy ready infrastructure
Players are trained seriously.
They are not paid to play.
They are not turned into professionals by default.
This model exists for a very small number of players.
In every region, including Metro Detroit, there are a handful of players each year who are genuinely elite. Good enough to compete at the highest youth levels. Sometimes good enough to receive fully funded offers to leave home.
For those players, the usual options are either to move away or to fit into an environment that was never designed for them.
So we are creating something new.
This is not an open tryout.
It is not a program anyone can sign up for.
It is intentionally narrow.
There are only two types of players we are willing to speak with.
One. Players who are good enough to play on true top local teams but are not being fully funded.
Two. Players who are good enough to receive fully funded offers to leave Michig
This is not an open tryout.

It is intentionally narrow.
There are only two types of players we are willing to speak with.
One. Players who are good enough to play on true top local teams but are not being fully funded.
Two. Players who are good enough to receive fully funded offers to leave Michigan but want a serious local alternative before making that move.
If that is not you, that is completely fine. This is not meant to be for everyone.
When housing or logistical support is provided, it exists solely to enable participation and development.
Housing is not compensation.
Housing is not NIL.
Housing is not tied to performance.
This structure preserves flexibility, eligibility, and clarity for players and families.
NIL at Detroit Metro FC is handled conservatively and transparently.
There is no pay for play.
NIL is never tied to minutes or results.
NIL is never bundled with housing or participation.
The goal is education, exposure, and real world readiness without economic pressure.
Detroit Metro FC is being built openly and intentionally.
We are documenting the model, sharing the structure, and inviting others to replicate it.
If this approach creates better outcomes for players and families, it should not be confined to one club or one city.
Elite development does not require quietly taxing average families.
Detroit Metro FC exists to prove that in practice, not theory.
