Shawn Clarke joins DMFC for the Spring 2025 Season

BRIGHTON, MICHIGAN (February 27, 2025) - Shawn Clarke is a promising talent joining DMFC for our inaugural season, bringing a rich blend of collegiate and club experience to the field. At Northern Michigan University, he appeared in 11 games over three seasons for the Wildcats, registering one goal and one assist—his breakthrough moment coming with a crucial goal in a hard-fought 1-1 tie against Davenport during the 2020-21 GLIAC Tournament. Prior to DMFC, Shawn refined his skills over two and a half years at NMU, a semester at College of Marin, and during two standout varsity seasons at Redwood High School under coach Dave Siracusa—helping his team secure two Marin County Athletic League championships and representing club team Marin FC. Born in December 2001 in Brazil to Marlene Dovale, he balances his athletic pursuits with ambitions of a successful legal career, further developing his game with summer stints at Detroit Union, Chicago FC, and Sonoma Sol.

Detroit Metro FC kicks off its inaugural season in the UPSL this spring of 2025 at the Legacy Center Sports Complex in Brighton, Michigan.
